Book Talks by Janae
Our classroom is doing book talks! Team 201 is very excited about it! Do you know what a book talk is? Here, let me tell you! A book talk is when someone, for instance let's say Haylee...OK, Haylee has to pick a book she has read or is reading and write a report on it to present in front of the class. Somethings she could do are show some pictures from the book she liked, read interesting leads in the book, or could tell some things about the characters. She could do a lot of things. Here are some books people did: Kailee did Charlotte's Web, Kyra did Sleuth or Dare, and I did Tiger Rising. Thanks for reading!

Space Celebration by Kailee
Our class had a space celebration. Everyone picked a topic. (I picked Jupiter's 4 most popular moons.) I saw some awesome projects like the sun, Saturn's rings, Saturn, the Earth, and so much more awesome projects! We also did a play and these are some objects in the play. We had the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Jupiter's moons, Saturn, Saturn's rings, Uranus, Neptune, and Eris, Ceres, and Pluto, and of course, the Leader of the Milky Way Galaxy. This is kind of funny...So, in the play we had props and some people had big blow up planets that someone in the class brought in. We had such a fun time blowing them up. A girl named Phoebe tried blowing one up with her mouth and her cheeks got really red. If you're reading this, Phoebe, that would probably happen to me too. It was so fun!

Upper Case Cursive Letters by Kyra We've learned all of the lower case, so now it's time for the big guys! We are going to learn upper-case cursive letters! Mrs. Langmead writes a letter. We copy it neatly. "So, are you excited about learning upper-case cursive letters?" I asked Kailee. "Ya! I am," she answered. "How does it feel to be big enough to learn them?" She thought a second and then said, "It feels great! I've been waiting a long time for this. Now I know some of the big letters and the small ones." This is new, different, and exciting for Team 201!
